B. Supported key codes

There are two ways of specifying a special character; by a keyword and by its ascii equivalent. In the source text it will look like this &keyword; or &#ascii;. Of these two options the former is preferreble, partly because some ascii characters change from font to font, partly because if the browser can't display the character it is easier to understand which character is meant. Not all Macintosh characters are available as keywords, on the other hand, not all keywords are available as Macintosh characters.

Please note that ascii numbered characters will not be displayed in the same way by all browsers. The characters below will look right when viewed with Netscape 1.0 or MacWeb 1.0 running on a Macintosh. On PC and unix machines they may look different. To avoid problems, use these characters as little as possible.
